Team Good Foot Finishes the Scotiabank Marathon

November 4th, 2021 Blog

We crossed the finish line!

Team Good Foot had their last race day for the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon on October 31st, and everyone completed (or exceeded!) their 42 km goal! Throughout October, the whole team had been walking or running a full marathon to raise money for the In, Up, and Out program.

We raised an amazing $9,629, so close to our goal of $10,000! We are so proud of all of our marathon participants for raising money in Good Foot’s name, and grateful to our community for being so generous during the run.

This week, we hosted an awards ceremony to celebrate our victorious marathon team, and there were a lot of highlights.

We had delicious treats donated from our sweet partners, Carolina’s Brownies and Courage Cookies.

We also handed out awards! Alan won a giftcard for being the first to finish his 42km goal, while Jodie took home a prize for most donations raised. Harley was named team cheerleader, and Jens won ‘best attitude’ for his determination to walk his first ever marathon.

Sheena won for best selfie, and Braden won a prize for best running location, adventuring all over the city to complete his steps.

Our team had so much fun getting active this October and having a little friendly competition to raise money and track kilometers. We want to thank everyone for their support and  encouragement, and for enjoying our race updates throughout the month!

Stay tuned: November 15th marks the kickoff day for the TTC Challenge, and Good Foot is once again the Official Charity partner! Participants from all over Toronto will be walking and running the length of the TTC, with all money raised going towards Good Foot. We are so proud to have been chosen for this special 100 year celebration, and encourage everyone to keep following along with us!
