Heather Smierciak, Chair

Heather is an executive search professional who is the Director of Executive Talent Acquisition and Enterprise Sourcing at Scotiabank. She first got introduced to Good Foot Delivery when they launched a mentorship program with Deloitte and Heather mentored two Couriers with a goal to build their skills and strengthen long-term employability.

Having earned a Master of Library and Information Science degree, Heather takes a data and research-driven approach to recruitment in order to build robust and diverse teams. Heather champions diversity & inclusion by driving targeted recruitment methodologies and strategically leveraging external partnerships. 

Aaron Wolfe, Vice-Chair

Aaron Wolfe is a seasoned investor and entrepreneur with a passion for helping people unlock their potential and achieve their aspirations.

In 2021, he co-founded SagePoint Capital Partners to support forward-thinking, high-growth Canadian entrepreneurs and enterprises. He also serves as a mentor with WoodGreen Community Services, guiding newcomers to Canada through their Community Connections Volunteer Team.

A committed advocate for growth and innovation, Aaron stays closely attuned to evolving environmental, social, and governance (ESG) best practices and is proud to bring that perspective to the Good Foot Board of Directors.

Connor Whitworth, Secretary

Connor Whitworth has provided public affairs and communications counsel to many of Canada’s most successful businesses and their leaders. He actively supports organizations and their teams when facing mission critical matters, readying them to achieve their goals, navigate complex circumstances, and protect their reputations.

Connor has significant experience assisting with public affairs mandates related to crisis and issues management, reputation recovery, government relations, investor relations, stakeholder engagement, transaction communication support, and digital activation.

Before joining Teneo, Connor was a senior executive at a publicly traded licensed producer of cannabis where he was responsible for corporate affairs and strategic communications. Before his time in the cannabis industry, Connor was a leader at one of Canada’s premier crisis communications and reputation management firms, based in Toronto.

Dori Zener

Dori Zener is a Registered Social Worker, speaker, and educator, who has dedicated her career to creating Neurodiversity-Affirming mental health opportunities for autistic people across the lifespan. As the founder and director of Dori Zener & Associates, her mission is to empower neurodivergent individuals to thrive in every facet of life.

Dori offers training based on her clinical expertise, centered around her INVEST model, which provides a Neuroaffirming framework for counselling. She is deeply committed to fostering autism acceptance and actively contributes to expanding the understanding of autism through publications, workshops, research collaborations, and corporate consultations.

Dori is excited to take on a new leadership position with the National Autism Network, where she will co-chair the Strategic Priority Area 4 Committee: Public Awareness, Understanding, & Acceptance, and join the Good Foot Board of Directors.

Alex Burlatschenko

Alex Burlatschenko is Vice President at Cortland Credit Group, a Canadian Alternative Investment Manager, where he focuses on sourcing, evaluating, and structuring private debt opportunities in North America. Prior to Cortland, he held various Corporate Banking roles at RBC Royal Bank.

Alex earned an MBA from the Ivey Business School in 2016, the CFA designation in 2014 and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Guelph in 2007. He previously served on the Alumni Board at the University of Guelph and has volunteered with the United Way, The Daily Bread Food Bank, and various fundraising initiatives.

Maggie Donolo

Maggie Donolo is a Labour Relations and Policy Specialist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), Canada’s largest mental health teaching hospital. In her role, she supports labour relations and policy initiatives that promote effective workplace practices, positive employee and union relations, and organizational excellence in the healthcare sector.

Maggie holds an undergraduate degree from Vassar College and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Ottawa. Maggie is passionate about the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion, and believes strongly in the inherent dignity of each person and their right to participate in all aspects of society, including the workplace. Along with her strong understanding of employment law and policy development, this commitment grounds her work supporting inclusive, equitable, and high-performing organizations.
