YPI Grant Information

Background Information

The Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) is a program for secondary students that combines in-class learning with hands-on experience. Students learn about social issues impacting their community. Then, each group of students chooses a local organization making a positive impact in the community. Groups meet with the local organizations to learn more about the organization. The groups then prepare a class presentation to demonstrate how a grant would help each organization propel their mission forward. The group with the most compelling presentation is granted $5,000 to award to their charity.
